You cannot visit Nottingamshire without visiting the world famous Sherwood forest & the Major Oak. There are many attractions in and around the Sherwood area including Rufford Park and Abbey. Thoresby Hall, the Maize Maze, & a new art and craft centre all to prove popular. There is loads to do for young and old, but watch out for the wicked sherriff of Nottingham.

Since "The Walled Garden" Camp Site has closed, we are one the nearest camp sites for the regular events held at clumber.
"Clumber Park"Lincoln - Famous for its Castle, Cathedral, University and Steep Hill. Many Restaurants and Bars, bookshops, museums and antiques bazaars. Much more than one days visiting. Shopping fans will not know where to turn with a massive selection of "little shops" selling anything and everything. You can even see the Cathedral from the site on a clear night.

View Down Steep HillSundown Adventureland - For those with under 10's, this is unmissable day out, and only 5 minutes down the road. It is the UK's only theme park designed for juniors and has won a number major national awards. Alton Towers for little people !, Never a bad report. (5 minutes by car).

Doddington Hall'Pureland' North Clifton are the work of Maitreya. Born and brought up in Handa, Japan, he bought the property as a base for the teaching of meditation. The area was originally two acres of flat field and wilderness, work began in 1980 to transform the site into the peaceful and beautiful garden it is today. The atmosphere of the garden reflects Maitreya's meditaion teaching - self awareness, peace and harmony with nature.

Thelma at Work !The National Trust has two propertys in the area, and both of course are worth a Visit, Mr Straws House at Worksop which has not changed since the 1920's, and more recently opened, the Southwell Workhouse. Southwell is a thriving market town with its magnificent minster and old world charm a definate visit !
