Trentfield Farm
"Easy to Find, Hard to Leave"

Camping and Caravanning 2008
In the Heart of Robin Hood Country

The Trentfield Entrance

Welcome to Trentfield Farm Camping and Caravanning. A small, professionally run and friendly camping and caravan site servicing the needs of both national and international visitors. We are ideally situated for visiting the World Famous area of Sherwood Forest, The Cathedral City of Lincoln, Beautiful Clumber and Rufford Parks and the surrounding areas, and work on the policy of old fashioned camping and caravanning with all the new amenities and mod-cons!

Caravans by the plum trees

Location - Based in North Nottinghamshire, Trentfield Farm is set in-between Historic Lincoln, Newark, Worksop and Gainsborough, immediately on the side of the River Trent where you can fish or watch the water skiing. We are just inside the idyllic hamlet of Church Laneham, an old estate village of the Bishop of York which is steeped in History. Historic documents date the farm
 way past  1774.

The Ferry Boat Inn

Facilities - The site is level and free draining and we pride ourselves very much in keeping the site neat, clean and tidy. 16 Amp electric hook ups are on the site each with nearby taps, so no need to trek miles for your water.  The site owns has Private river frontage with free course fishing for customers on the river, we also have two carp lakes but 10 minutes down the road for a small  fee. Two excellent golf courses are only a short drive away.  For more details click here or follow the Facility's link. A new eco friendly toilet block was a welcome addition in 2005 in addition to the new reception which opened for the 2004 season. Each customer is provided with a comprehensive information pack on arrival and customer survey card.

Laneham Parish Church

What's Here & Local - In addition to the sites own excellent facilities, our location could not be better, within a 5 minute walk you can be at the Ferry Boat inn, a "real" country pub with excellent ales & food which is superb value. The village store is  a 5 minute drive away. Were well off the beaten track, and there are miles of country roads to explore either on bike or foot well away from major roads. Cyclists and walkers never complain at the lack of quiet roads in and around the area.

Ariel View of Laneham Village

Nature - The farm in 1998, in conjunction with Nottingham shire Wildlife Trust constructed an artificial Otter holt and created an enclosed conservation area. Badgers, Partridges, Pheasants and Hare's are all a common sight and there are miles of quiet lanes, tracks and walks in the parish for you to enjoy the wildlife. We even have a Badger spotting walk where you  have a very good chance of seeing one as well as the resident little owl. In 2009 we hope to achieve the David Bellamy GOLD conservation award

Lucy the Little Owl

Who's Welcome ? - The simple answer is everybody, whether they be in a small tent or large caravan and awning.
There is plenty of room for children to play, without disturbing the tranquility of our other customers.  We are not a large commercial site and our reputation is based on the service we give, and that's why people come back time and time again. We are very careful how we site our customers to try and ensure everyone has a good time, comes back and more importantly tells their friends.
